DRAW CIVITA 2014 !!!!!!!!

Civita di Bagnoregio is an exquisite, Etruscan-Roman-Medieval, pedestrian-only speck of a hilltown north of Rome and south of Orvieto. The setting is nothing less than spectacular, the colors, stone, views, walkways and architectural details are nothing less than inspiring. I have traveled and sketched in 5 continents, and I can honestly say that Civita is one of the most beautiful places I have ever, ever seen.  There is something magical about this place.

The dates are July 4-10, 2014, 5 full days of immersion and instruction.

More info and details to follow. Groups will be small, only 4-6 people so lots of one-on-one instruction and demos.  We stay at NIAUSI's beautiful, really beautifully restored, fully-furnished stone apartments in Civita.

The workshop will focus on understanding and using perspective, establishing good bones at the beginning of an architectural sketch, use of effective line and tone, and finally the application of watercolor to complete a glowing, beautiful, and accurate(!) sketch.

Architectural Sketching workshops are few and far between.  If you have ever wanted to master the use of perspective in your sketches, this workshop is perfect for you.

If you are interested in reserving a spot in this workshop,
contact me ASAP at stbower@comcast.net.
Ciao!!!
