Early morning from the Pont Marie, Paris

Morning from the Pont Marie. June 5.  Click on the view to see it larger.

Got out the door early and sketched from the nearby Pont Marie, which opened in 1635 and connects the Rive Droite (Right Bank where I live) to the elegant Île Saint-Louis.

I painted the entire paper with a pale yellow ochre, then added Chinese white on the sunlit surfaces.  Still trying to figure out my technique.
