It was a rough weekend after the emotional memorial service for Bob Hull on Friday, so I almost didn't show up to join the Seattle Sketchers today. But the weather turned out to be beautiful, it was good to get some air after a day of watching any old movie that came on the tube, and Georgetown is full of cool stuff to inspire a sketch. A small group of us sat in the parking lot at the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall and watched as the shops slowly opened and the place came alive in the bright sun.
AND, I got to try out my new En Plein Air Pro travel easel...it is GREAT! So fast to set up, really stable,
perfectly adjustable. Brilliant in its simplicity, and it made painting the sketch so much easier. I didn't have to drop to the ground to paint!
